HeyRuby Community Guidelines

HeyRuby is a platform for creating, editing, sharing, licensing, and discovering AI-assisted videos and other media content. These Community Guidelines explain what is and is not allowed at https://heyruby.app/ and https://www.heyruby.tv/ (collectively, our “Sites”), and our mobile applications, APIs, creator tools, and related services (collectively, with Sites, our “Services”).

These Community Guidelines are intended to help protect users, rights holders, partners, and the integrity of the platform.

By using the Services, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines and our other platform policies, including, where applicable, our HeyRuby.TV Terms of Service and our HeyRuby App Terms of Service.

These Community Guidelines apply to all types of content on our platform, including, for example, unlisted and private content, comments, links, posts, and thumbnails.

Follow the Law and Respect the Rights of Others

You may not use the Services to break the law or help others break the law. If content or conduct appears unlawful, we may remove it and may report it to law enforcement or other authorities where appropriate.

Your content must also respect the rights of others, including the intellectual property rights, interests, and permissions of other individuals and entities. You may not:

  Upload copyrighted video, music, images, scripts, games, footage, or other content to our Services without the necessary rights, permissions, and licensing;
• •
  Sell or license content you do not own or control;
• •
  Upload content that copies, repackages, or lightly edits someone else’s work and present it as your own;
• •
  Use trademarks, logos, brand names, trade dress, or other protected branding in a misleading or unauthorized way;
• •
  Use another person’s name, image, likeness, voice, persona, or identity without permission where required; and,
• •
  Submit false rights claims or false license information in listings or disputes.

Harassment, Abuse, and Bullying

We prohibit all harmful content or behavior, including but not limited to doxxing, threats, and intentionally targeting someone with insults or slurs based on their physical traits or protected group status.

We do not allow content that reveals information about an individual without their consent, such as sharing someone else’s name, contact information, email, or other personal information.

Example prohibited content includes but is not limited to:

  Prolonged or repeated insults or slurs based on someone’s intrinsic attributes;
• •
  Threats of violence or intimidation;
• •
  Non-consensual sexualized content involving or targeting an individual;
• •
  Doxxing or posting personal information without the individual’s consent;
• •
  Content uploaded with the intent or effect of shaming, deceiving, or insulting an individual;
• •
  Sustained behavior amounting to abuse through uploads, comments, messages, support channels, or legal forms;
• •
  Attempts to mobilize abuse against an individual or group; and,
• •
  Hateful comments or behavior, which includes content that promotes violence or hatred against individuals or groups based on age, caste, ethnicity, race, disability, immigration status, nationality, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, veteran status, or being a victim of a major violent event and their kin.

Spam, Manipulation, and Platform Abuse

We prohibit content, data (including metadata), or behavior meant to spam, overload, scrape, manipulate, or otherwise take advantage of the HeyRuby community or Services, which includes but is not limited to spamming individuals or users. We also prohibit misleading or manipulating viewer engagement metrics.

HeyRuby creators must not engage in false or artificial viewership, disrupt or otherwise degrade the integrity of our Services, or otherwise negatively impact the community experience.

Example prohibited content includes but is not limited to:

  Mass posting repetitive or low-value content;
• •
  Automated account creation or bot activity;
• •
  Scraping or harvesting platform data without authorization;
• •
  Attempting to bypass moderation, security, or rate limits;
• •
  Uploading malware or malicious code;
• •
  Abusing trials, credits, promotions, referrals, or payouts;
• •
  Using multiple accounts to evade restrictions or enforcement;
• •
  Creating content meant solely to drive users off the Services to external sites, platforms, or other services, especially those hosting viruses, malware, or adult or illegal content or services.

No Fraud, Deception, Misleading Content, or Fake Engagement

HeyRuby does not allow anything that may deceive users, amount to fraud, artificially increase content engagement, or relate to unauthorized impersonation of individuals, entities, brands, or channels.

This includes but is not limited to:

  Unauthorized impersonating of a person, brand, company, creator, or public figure, which includes but is not limited to posting comments that make people falsely think you are another person, brand, company, etc.;
• •
  Misrepresenting authorship, ownership, licensing rights, or exclusivity;
• •
  Falsely claiming endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, or affiliation;
• •
  Misleading users about what is AI-generated, edited, synthetic, or composited;
• •
  Using fake engagement, fake reviews, fake traffic, fake followers, fake buyers, or fake licensing activity;
• •
  Manipulating contests, rankings, views, likes, conversion signals, or payouts; and,
• •
  Submitting false takedown requests, false counter-notices, or false compliance documents.

Harmful or Dangerous Content

You may not create, upload, or distribute content that encourages, promotes, or facilitates dangerous or illegal activities that risk physical harm or death. This includes but is not limited to content that:

  Encourages or otherwise promotes harmful or dangerous acts, challenges, or pranks;
• •
  Instructs or otherwise educates viewers on how to perform activities meant to kill or severely harm others, or how to create or use bombs, firearms, or other dangerous or illegal weapons;
• •
  Targets individuals or entities with credible threats;
• •
  Glorifies or otherwise celebrates self-harm or death;
• •
  Promotes terrorism or violent extremism;
• •
  Promote suicide, self-harm, eating disorders, is intended to shock or disgust viewers, or otherwise poses a physical, mental, or emotional risk to viewers.

We may restrict, remove, or otherwise take actions against content deemed graphic or disturbing in our sole discretion, even where such content is not illegal. We may also make exceptions for content with educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic context, including content that is in the public’s interest.

Nudity and Sexual Content

You may not use our Services to post explicit, pornographic, or sexual content meant to be sexually gratifying. This includes but is not limited to:

  Sexual abuse material;
• •
  Depictions of clothed or unclothed genitals, breasts, or buttocks that are meant for sexual gratification;
• •
  Pornography;
• •
  Depiction of sexual acts or fetishes that are meant for sexual gratification;
• •
  Non-consensual intimate imagery;
• •
  Predatory exhibitionism, voyeurism, or any other content that depicts someone in a sexualized manner without their consent;
• •
  Sexualized content involving minors or young-looking persons; and,
• •
  Content meant to solicit requests for sexual content, services, or products.

Misinformation, Deepfakes, Deceptive AI, and Synthetic Media

While HeyRuby provides AI-native platforms, certain types of misleading, deceptive, or synthetic content are not allowed on our Services. For example, you may not use our Services to:

  Create non-consensual sexualized depictions or exploitative synthetic likeness;
• •
  Create deepfakes that impersonate real people, brands, or entities in a misleading or harmful way;
• •
  Mislead individuals into thinking synthetic content is authentic when it is not;
• •
  Fabricate events, government notices, brand communications, official records, endorsements, interviews, performances, evidence, public statements, or other content that may pose a serious risk of harm; and,
• •
  Mislead census participants about the time, place, means, or eligibility requirements of the census, or that could materially discourage census participation.

We may require labels or watermarks to clearly identify your content as AI-generated, and you shall not circumvent or in any way attempt to remove such labels and watermarks.

Marketplace Integrity and Illegal or Regulated Goods or Services

You cannot post content if it aims to directly sell, link to, or facilitate access to regulated goods or services, including but not limited to alcohol, credentials to access financial information, counterfeit documents or currency, controlled narcotics and other drugs, explosives, organs, endangered species or parts of endangered species, firearms and certain firearms accessories, nicotine and vaping products, online gambling sites, sex or escort services, unlicensed medical services, human trafficking, and similarly harmful goods or services.

Moreover, if you use our Services to link to or facilitate access to regulated goods or services, you may not:

  List content you do not have the right to sell or license;
• •
  Misrepresent whether a license is exclusive or non-exclusive;
• •
  Misrepresent territorial, time, platform, or commercial rights;
• •
  Hide restrictions, encumbrances, disputes, or ownership uncertainty;
• •
  Re-list content that has been removed for rights issues without resolving the issue;
• •
  Manipulate pricing, offers, reviews, commissions, or transaction data; and,
• •
  Use the marketplace to facilitate scams, laundering, sham transactions, or fake demands.

Misinformation and Restricted or Sensitive Content

Certain types of misleading, deceptive, restricted, or sensitive content are not allowed on HeyRuby. This includes certain types of content that can cause real-world harm, like manipulated content and content interfering with democratic processes. We also do not allow medical, legal, or professional misinformation that poses a serious risk of harm.

For example, you may not use our Services to:

  Circulate commercial claims that appear deceptive or unsubstantiated;
• •
  Create content featuring graphic violence or injury;
• •
  Create content aimed at misleading voters about the time, place, means, or eligibility requirements for voting, or false claims that could materially discourage voting; and,
• •
  Incite or otherwise interfere with democratic processes.

Misuse of Legal or Reporting Tools

We may provide you with access to reporting, takedown, and dispute tools, all of which must be used solely for legitimate purposes. You may not:

  File knowingly false or misleading complaints;
• •
  Use copyright or trademark claims to suppress lawful criticism, commentary, or competition;
• •
  Submit abusive, frivolous, or retaliatory reports;
• •
  File counter-notices in bad faith; or,
• •
  Manipulate legal forms to harass users or interfere with business relationships.

Misuse of such tools are a violation of these Community Guidelines and may result in enforcement action taken against violators.

What happens if you violate these Community Guidelines

HeyRuby may take action when content or conduct violates these Community Guidelines, our Terms of Service, our other policies, or when we reasonably believe action is needed to protect users, rights holders, partners, the platform or any other relevant party.

Possible actions include but are not limited to:

  Removing content;
• •
  Muting or replacing audio;
• •
  Restricting visibility or discoverability;
• •
  Disabling remixing, monetization, exporting, licensing, or sharing;
• •
  Applying labels, warnings, or visibility restrictions;
• •
  Requesting proof of rights, identity, authorization, or consent;
• •
  Holding payouts or delaying transactions;
• •
  Suspending listings, marketplace activity, or API access;
• •
  Suspending or terminating accounts;
• •
  Preserving records for compliance, disputes, and investigations; and,
• •
  Referring matters to law enforcement, regulators, outside counsel, or other relevant entities or agencies, where appropriate.

We are not obligated to host, publish, restore, or continue distributing any content. Our enforcement decisions do not mean content is lawful, unlawful, or cleared for commercial use.

Repeated violations may lead to escalating enforcement.

We may update these Community Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated version and revise the “Last Updated” date.

Your continued use of the Services after the updated Community Guidelines become effective means you accept the revised version.

How to report problems or violations

If you believe content or conduct on HeyRuby violates these Community Guidelines or your rights, please bring the content or conduct to our attention using the reporting tools available in our Services or contact us at community@realgames.ai.

We may request additional information before acting on a report.

We may use automated systems, human review, or a combination of both to review content and behavior. We are not required to review all content, detect every violation, or respond to every report within a specific time unless required by law.

The fact that similar content remains available does not mean other content is permitted.
